Refund Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
The short version
14 days, no questions asked, as long as you haven't deployed the site to a custom domain. Once you've deployed your site at a domain you own, you've gotten the value.
How to request a refund
Pick whichever is easier for you:
- Email hello@authorsitekit.com with your Gumroad order number.
- Or reply to your purchase receipt from Gumroad. We're the seller on file and the message will route to us.
You don't need to explain why. We'll just process it. Your money is back on the original card within Gumroad's standard timeline (typically 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer).
What happens to your repo
When we process your refund, we'll also remove the private GitHub repository we created for you. If you'd like a few days to copy anything out of it before we do, just say so in your refund email.
Why we exclude already-deployed sites
Once a site is live at your custom domain, the value has been delivered: your readers can reach your books at a domain you own. After that point, a refund would mean reclaiming work that's already in the world. The 14-day window before deployment is plenty of time to decide whether the template is right for you.
Edge cases
If something goes wrong on our end — repo provisioning fails, the template has a bug that prevents deployment, the welcome email never arrives — we'll either fix it or refund. Email hello@authorsitekit.com and we'll work it out.
Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback. Author Site Kit is a one-person operation and chargebacks cost us disproportionately more than the purchase price. We'd much rather refund you directly.
