What you're buying
Author Site Kit sells a one-time license to a Next.js author website template ("the Product"). When you purchase the Self-Serve tier, you receive:
- A private GitHub repository, pre-filled with the data you submitted in the customizer, of which you are added as an admin collaborator.
- A perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, modify, and deploy the template code for your own author website(s) under your own pen name(s).
- Email support for setup questions for 7 days after purchase via hello@authorsitekit.com.
What you may not do
- You may not redistribute, re-sell, or sublicense the template code as a product, template, or competing offering.
- You may not claim authorship of the template itself, though the site you build with it is fully yours.
Payment and merchant of record
Payments are processed by Gumroad, which is the merchant of record for your purchase. Gumroad handles VAT, sales tax, and applicable consumer protection requirements. Your receipt is issued by Gumroad.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund window. See the Refund Policy for details and how to request a refund.
Service availability
The customizer, checkout, and post-purchase repo provisioning are provided as-is. We do not guarantee 100% uptime. If repo provisioning fails after a successful payment, contact hello@authorsitekit.com and we will either retry, manually provision, or refund.
Hosting for your deployed site is provided by Vercel (under your own account), not by us. Their terms apply to that hosting.
Liability
Author Site Kit is provided without warranty of any kind. Our maximum liability for any claim related to the Product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Product after changes constitutes acceptance.
